The course is for teachers who are planning to teach IELTS, who have started doing it, and those with some experience of working with IELTS. The course will also be useful for those who are interested in deepening their understanding of IELTS visuals and the different aspects related to them.
The course is aimed at providing teachers with the knowledge of IELTS visuals and the framework of teaching them to students. It explores the fundamentals of the Academic Writing task 1, which will help a teacher familiarise themselves with or deepen the understanding of important restrictions of IELTS visuals and different types of tasks students encounter in this part of the test, walks through the process of analysing task instructions and approaches to describing different kinds of visuals. Course participants will get the knack of how IELTS visuals are scored and practice doing this on their own. This knowledge and skills will enable teachers to deal with IELTS visuals at a more professional level, provide appropriate support at different stages of working with IELTS visuals, understand student problems and help solve them with a higher degree of effectiveness.
