Learning with Grade University: FAQ

In order to access any of our courses or videos in the library, you have to register on the platform and create an account.

In the right upper corner, click on Guest > Sign up > Create an account:

Enter your email address, create a password, your full name that will be displayed on the certificate. You can edit this information anytime later.

Each course includes various types of inputs such as videolectures, reading texts, video recordings of lessons, and audio recordings followed by interactive practice tasks to enhance your learning experience.

All videos and audio recordings in each course are supported with transcripts.

Go to Courses . You can choose the course by levels: New to TEFL/TESOL, Experienced, Expert. This information can be found on the course cover. It also specifies the learners you teach: YL, teenagers, adults.

If you have no teaching experience or initial qualifications, pick up courses for New to TEFL/TESOL. If you have some teaching experience, and would like to refresh your knowledge and master your skills, or have such qualifications as TKT, CELT-P or CELT-S, choose courses for Experienced teachers. Have you got CELTA or DELTA? Choose courses for Expert level.

Pick up the course you are interested in. Click See more. Read the description of the course and watch the Welcome Word. Try Demo for free and decide whether you want to continue.

You can familiarize yourself with the course programme by going to Courses page, choosing a corresponding course, and clicking on the See more.

You will then be taken to the course page where you can read the information about the course and the Course Outline. By clicking on the units of the course, you will be able to read more information about what is inside each unit.

The Ukrainian version of the course syllabus can be found on each course page and downloaded as a PDF.

Each Grade University course is self-study, i.e. the user decides when to start the course, how much time to devote to learning, and when to finish the course.

All our courses are paid. However, you can access a free demo unit in each course after you register on the platform. Go to Courses , pick up the course you would like to take, click on See more. Next, choose Try demo, and access the first unit of the course without any charges.

Our courses are entirely on-demand and they can be accessed from several different devices and platforms, including a desktop, laptop, and a mobile phone.

Register on the platform. Choose the course. Start with Try Demo option. To proceed with the course, after you complete the Demo unit, click on Buy the course. You will be taken to the payment page.

After successfully completing the payment, you will receive access to the whole course.

You can also buy the course without completing a Demo unit. For this, choose the course, click on Buy the course, and proceed to payment.

As you proceed to the payment screen, choose to pay with GPay or Pay with the card. Fill in the fields with all necessary information, including your full name and email address, and press Pay. The payment receipt will be sent to your email address. After successful payment, you will receive access to the course.

NB: The course fee is charged at the exchange rate on the day of payment. Your bank may charge an additional fee or apply double conversion. For these questions, we advise you to contact your bank.

There are two types of courses on the platform.

Courses that follow a strict order. These courses consist of integral units that should be done in a strict order. Within each unit, the tasks follow a strict order and should be done one by one.

Courses with random order. These courses consist of separate units that can be done in any order. However, within each unit the tasks follow a strict order and should be done one by one.

There are different types of tasks teachers have to complete before, while, and after watching/listening/reading the information:

• matching
• multiple choice questions
• True / False
• open questions for self-reflection
• gapped texts
• summaries

Tasks in the course cannot be skipped and are completed in a strict order. Questions can be answered only once. There are no resubmissions of the tasks.

Tasks in the units are not assessed. Upon completion of all units of the course, there is a Final Test to be completed. Based on the results of this test, you will receive your certificate.

There is no Final Test for a teaching credential. However, the results of each Final Test of the courses included in the teaching credential are displayed in the certificate supplement.

When you complete all Units and a Final Test, you will automatically receive a Certificate. It will also appear in your Personal Cabinet. Based on the results of the test, three types of certificates can be generated:

0–69% — Certificate of Attendance

70–89% — Certificate of Completion

90–100% — Certificate of Completion with Merit

Credential is issued when you complete all Courses included. There is no Final Test for a Credential, i.e. the Certificates for all courses and the Credential will automatically appear in your Profile.

Each certificate has a unique QR-code and number allowing your employer to verify its validity on our website:

Enter the number in the field and press Search button to check. If the certificate is valid, this will be displayed in the bottom right corner of the document.

When you complete all Units and a Final Test of the course, your Certificate will be automatically generated and stored in your Personal Cabinet where you can download it anytime.

When you complete all the courses of the Teaching Credential, your Teaching Credential Certificate will also appear in the Personal Cabinet together with the Supplement that includes information about the courses taken and the test scores for each course.

Certificates for Ukrainian teachers are automatically generated and stored in the Personal Cabinet upon completion of any Course or Teaching Credential. You can download them anytime.

All Certificates generated by the platform meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and can be validated by the employers on our website.

Although there are no live sessions with Course Tutors, after answering each question in each task, you will receive a detailed explanation that will save your time and dispel your doubts if you have any.

The materials of the course can be accessed anytime. Moreover, the key information from each course you take, useful resources, templates, tools, tips and solutions for your classroom are stored in the Knowledge Bank.

Knowledge Bank can be accessed anytime and stays with you forever.

The Video Library is free. You can easily find all necessary recordings by using filters: format, level, your students, key words or by the name of the speaker.

You have to be registered on the platform to watch the videos.

Choose the video you would like to watch and click Enroll > Watch.

The list of videos you have watched can be found in your Personal Cabinet, and you can watch them as many times as you like.
